Meeting Jesus changed Zacchaeus. He chose to make things right and give generously. Jesus doesn’t only want us to know His name—He changes the way we live. ✨

Others saw a man they didn’t like. Jesus saw someone worth stopping for. A beautiful lesson for little hearts: Jesus sees people differently.

6/6 Matthew went from sitting at a tax booth to becoming a follower of Christ. Never underestimate what Jesus can build from a life that simply answers: “Yes, Lord.” ✝️ Follow Arklings for Scripture, Christian parenting, and resources that help children grow in faith. 🌱

🧵 Jesus didn’t wait for Matthew to become perfect before He called him. That matters when we teach our children about faith. A short thread for Christian parents 👇 1/6 Matthew was sitting at his tax booth when Jesus simply said: “Follow me.” — Matthew 9:9 Not fix everything first. Not become worthy first. Follow Me.

5/6 Teach them early: When you’re afraid — pray. When you’ve done wrong — pray. When you’re thankful — pray. When you don’t know what to do — pray. Jesus is not someone we only approach when life is going well.

4/6 Later, Jesus explains why He welcomed people others looked down upon: “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.” — Matthew 9:13 That’s a powerful lesson for a Christian home. Correction matters. But so do mercy, forgiveness and restoration.

3/6 Our children will make mistakes. They’ll disobey. They’ll have difficult days. They’ll eventually wrestle with bigger things than scraped knees and bedtime. Their first instinct shouldn’t be to hide from God. It should be to run toward Him.

2/6 One of the most beautiful things we can teach a child is this: Jesus doesn’t only love the version of you that gets everything right. He calls you. He teaches you. He changes you.
