Thats what made Arrowhead fucking cool. I do not care if new players or returning players have access to rewards i earned. Its part what makes helldivers 2, helldivers 2. We lost that. We gave in to the worst of the community and sacrificed the no helldivers left behind spirit.

I personally dislike fomo aswell. I personally feel all the rewards we unlock should be available to new players or returning players whenever. Us veterans of the game already have everything. Is it really so bad to let these less experienced players have fun stuff aswell?

Arrowhead went from the cool generous, community centric studio that every helldivers help each other out to now enabling some of the worst behavior because you didn't "pitch in" when the system is a statistical login for player counts. Fuck that. I want AH to be cool again.

It goes against the entire spirit of helldivers 2 to have time gated gameplay rewards. This plays into the new player experience being the worst it ever has btw with medals aswell. An excuse for why the new liberator can't have a bayonet is due to it being a timed reward btw
