How to Mark and Confirm a BOS There are a few ways to map a Break of Structure. Most traders (myself included) use Type 1. The rule stays simple: A true BOS requires a candle body close beyond the previous swing high or low. A wick through the level is just a liquidity sweep. It does not confirm structure. Once the body closes through, the old high or low is no longer protected. That is the shift. Test the different mapping methods. Keep the one that stays consistent with your process.

Most traders guess where price is going because they don't understand the Draw on Liquidity (DOL).

Most traders lose money because they skip higher timeframe context. If you don't use 3 timeframes together, every setup looks valid—until it fails. Here is the exact framework to pair timeframes for high-probability setups: 1. Timeframe Roles - Higher TF → Directional Bias & Key Levels - Middle TF → Setup Trigger & Confirmation - Lower TF → Entry, Risk & Execution 2. The 3 Pairings - Swing Model: Weekly → Daily → 4H - Intraday Model: Daily → 1H → 15M - Scalping Model: 1H → 15M → 5M / 1M 3. The Step-by-Step Execution - Daily: Price raids Sell-Side Liquidity (SSL) and forms a swing low, leaving a Fair Value Gap (FVG) targeting equal highs. - 1-Hour: Wait for price to react inside and respect the Daily FVG (do not chase early). - 15-Minute: Watch for internal liquidity raid + strong displacement + FVG aligning with a bullish Order Block (OB). - Entry: Place stops below the swing low and target the higher timeframe draw on liquidity. HTF gives you the direction. LTF gives you the discount. Bookmark this for your next session. 📌

Market Maker Buy Model – Full Walkthrough Sellside of the Curve Price consolidates, then expands lower. The move targets Sellside Liquidity, sweeping stops and trapping late sellers. Smart Money Reversal At the lows, institutions step in. You see a clear Market Structure Shift, new Order Blocks, and Fair Value Gaps forming. This is the turn. Buyside of the Curve Price expands higher. It mitigates breakers, reclaims Order Blocks, and fills imbalances on the way up. The objective becomes the higher-timeframe premium and buy-side liquidity. The model is simple once you see the sequence: Distribution down → Reversal at the low → Expansion higher. Stop hunting liquidity first. Then follow the smart money turn.

Market Maker Buy Model (MMBM) This is the classic sequence ICT teaches on the 5-minute chart. 1. Consolidation near the highs 2. Distribution — smart money sells into strength (red arrows) 3. Smart money reversal and shift 4. Low-risk buy in the discount zone (imbalance / FVG) 5. Accumulation of longs 6. Secondary buy at the consequent encroachment (midpoint of the gap) 7. Order block support holds 8. Expansion that runs straight into buyside liquidity The model is not about catching the absolute bottom. It is about waiting for the distribution to complete, confirming the reversal, then entering where risk is defined and the path of least resistance is higher. Once the structure shifts and price reclaims the imbalance, the objective becomes clear: clear the old highs and take the liquidity above.

Balanced Price Range (BPR) When two Fair Value Gaps overlap, you get a Balanced Price Range. This forms when sell-side delivery is followed by buy-side delivery. The opposing imbalances cancel each other out and create a balanced zone. Price often leaves this area, then returns to it later. Because the range has already been balanced, it frequently acts as support (or resistance in the opposite scenario). In the example, price returns to the BPR and holds, offering a clean long entry with the expectation of a move higher. Overlapping FVGs are not just noise. They create high-probability reaction zones once price has left and come back.

@JackOffset01 😂 We’ve all been there bro!

TRADE THE CHART, NOT THE COLORS. Red and green candles create unnecessary psychological pressure. Your brain starts reacting to the color instead of the structure. Switch to neutral candles and the emotional noise drops immediately. You stop fighting the last candle and start reading the actual order flow. Better decisions.

@raytrdss Facts bro 🤝

@Smartertoday63 Glad it helped 🙌

Multi-timeframe analysis done properly Start on the 4H. Determine direction, mark key levels, and identify supply & demand zones. Drop to the 1H. Confirm the trend, look for breaks or reversals, and map Order Blocks, FVGs, and liquidity. Only then move to the 15-minute chart. This is where you wait for final confirmation before entering. 4H gives you the bias. 1H gives you the setup. 15-minute gives you the trigger.

@Sarahahmed002 Glad you see it that way! 🙌

Simple 5scalping exercise 1. Open a 5-minute chart 2. Wait for a clear high to form and mark it 3. Wait for a clear low to form and mark it 4. Watch price climb back toward the previous high 5. If it rejects or fails the breakout → Short 6. Target the low you marked 7. Stop loss sits above the highs Same process works in reverse for longs. No indicators. No overthinking. Just structure, reaction, and a fixed target. Practice this on replay until the sequence becomes automatic.

@Roy56192062 Just the basic horizontal line tool to mark the highs and lows.

@sandy19611965 Because a low can break too. Wait for the reaction before entering.

@Dkevin333 The hard part is staying disciplined and waiting for the right setup.

@SeanWillTrades Exactly, it keeps you focused on the setup instead of chasing price. 💯

@ACIToken Exactly, replay practice is underrated.

@azrael_options Exactly, that’s why confirmation matters more than the structure alone. 💯

BOS vs CHoCH BOS = Break of Structure It signals continuation. In an uptrend, price must break the previous higher high. In a downtrend, price must break the previous lower low. When that happens, the trend is still intact. CHoCH = Change of Character It signals the first sign of a possible reversal. In an uptrend, when price makes a lower low below the previous higher low → CHoCH. In a downtrend, when price makes a higher high above the previous lower high → CHoCH. BOS keeps you with the trend. CHoCH warns you the trend may be shifting. One continues. One challenges.

@JackOffset01 That’s fine, just make sure the pullback confirms your setup before adding another position. 💯

Don’t chase the breakout. When price breaks structure, the direction is confirmed. But that candle is rarely the entry. Smart money doesn’t buy the spike. They wait for price to return and retest the broken level — often into the Fair Value Gap left behind. That retest gives you: • A defined invalidation • A tight stop • Much better risk-to-reward The breakout tells you the bias. The retest gives you the trade.

@azrael_options Exactly, liquidity is what gives structure its real meaning. 💯

Strong & Weak Swing Points A swing high or low has one job: produce a Break of Structure in the next swing. - If it does → Strong - If it fails → Weak Strong points are protected. We expect price to respect them. Weak points are targeted. We expect price to take them out. In an uptrend Strong lows (Higher Lows) hold. Weak highs (Higher Highs) get taken. In a downtrend Strong highs (Lower Highs) hold. Weak lows (Lower Lows) get taken. Trade in the direction of the strong points. Target the weak ones. Structure tells you what is protected and what is next.

Imbalance Types. Normal Imbalance Aggressive buying leaves a gap between the high of candle 1 and the low of candle 3. Price often returns to fill the imbalance before continuing in the original direction. Inverse Imbalance A strong opposing candle creates an imbalance against the prior move. This zone frequently acts as a retest level before price continues in the new direction. Combined (Inverse + Normal) When both appear together, the inverse imbalance and the normal imbalance sit side by side. This confluence often creates a high-probability reaction zone. Imbalances are not just gaps. They are areas of unfinished business. Price tends to revisit them. How it reacts when it gets there tells you the next move.
