@BicycleMayorTO Election Campaigning Last Fall in the Municipal Elections in #AuroraON - done entirely by bike and on foot. Even delivering Election Signs to people's houses! That surprised people! They would look down the driveway or road and expect a car!

@chilidogjeff @TMrakas The bad news is Aurora really has very limited to no Cycling Infrastructure. The good news is we are starting from scratch and a 2nd good news point - many Aurorans live reasonably close (1 - 2km) to many things they access regularly. There's GREAT potential here in #AuroraON

@tomflood1 Has there ever been an audit done of the amount of land committed to Parking Lots in the GTA, and how much of it sits empty and unused ALL THE TIME! Our local shopping plaza lot in #AuroraOn in 20 years, has never been more than half full - NEVER!

Yet - that level of Gov't get's the least amount of respect, and voter turnout. In last Fall's Municipal Election in #AuroraON a mere 25% of registered voters bothered to vote!! 🤦

@Sumskillz Wow! I was at the contentious Open Town Hall meeting in #AuroraON. I worry that this is going to get really ugly (Full disclosure - I am supportive of the Shelter). Many at the meeting were REALLY opposed to this!

@jen_keesmaat Has there ever been any kind of audit done of the amount of land set aside for Parking in the GTA - particularly the outer suburban zone. I ask - because places like #AuroraON seem to have a CRAZY amount of #parking space, that NEVER get's used! #HousingCrisis #Housing

@StrongTowns @Edward_Erfurt I live in a neighborhood in #AuroraOn that is like the touched up photo on the right - It was built from scratch this way in the late 1990's. It's a mixture of detached, semi-detached, townhomes, and 5 story Condominiums! It's a great, highly desirable area!
