@TaliaRinger I’ll bite. What’s a non-bonkers way to take the hello world step of vibe proving?

@hughlaurie @JasonKPargin @jan_murray Also I think my youngest has Hand Foot Mouth but I’m not sure. Can you call me an idiot and correctly diagnose him? PLEASE, Daddy, call me an idiot.

@hughlaurie @JasonKPargin @jan_murray Since we’re giving notes: Did you consider an episode where House like gets hit on the head or something but less slapstick and starts speaking in Hugh’s real life English accent and he’s super annoyed because he hates Britain for some really petty and idiosyncratic reason?

@havivrettiggur @afusfeld FWIW this is unconstitutional as were the Libya operations, the nonsense in Latin America, and all sorts of cases. To your point both parties engage in these shenanigans and “illegal war” gripes are often too cute by half, but “I’m an outsider looking in” is absurd.

@havivrettiggur @afusfeld Wait what? You spent your teens in the US. How did you get through that and not know basic separation of powers elements like only congress can declare war while the president is the commander in chief of the armed forces?

@RansomStoddard1 @megha_lilly And what exactly is anachronistic about non consensual sex and homoeroticism when discussing Homer? Or are you one of those “Achilles and Patroclus were ROOMATES” types?

@0meletti @megha_lilly @Omrausa Ok how? A fun test I like to use is: if it were you would you call it slavery? You can’t leave. The head of the estate can send you to prison and curtail your rights. You owe them uncompensated labor or money because you exist. In practice they can break up your family.

@megha_lilly @Omrausa Dostoevsyk’s father was such a violent and cruel piece of shit to his serfs his family speculated they murdered him for it.

@megha_lilly @Omrausa The radical politics that got him arrested and sentenced to mock execution included advocating that serfdom be abolished because it was evil. So you know there’s that.

@lambda_thoughts @JacobAShell This is the only relevant reply. Biggest skill issue I’ve ever seen. Not finding anything culturally fruitful in nyc is such a damning reveal of a person’s character.
