You are about to see in real time over the next 4 days how the media can choose who it humanizes and who it villainizes, who is a child and who is a minor, who is a mother and who is an accomplice. Who is a hostage and who is a prisoner. In short who is innocent and who is not.
@AymanM @PatriciaHeaton This guy is saying that opposite of what you think. He’s saying the media will “choose” to villainize the prisoners even though they are women and teenagers. They are not simply that. They are all criminals. Caught on video stabbing, bombing Israelis
@AymanM Ayman you seem challenged by the idea that one group is made up of civilians kidnapped while the other is made up of criminals serving prison terms. Not too hard to see who is innocent here
@AymanM I can see the pro-Hamas crowd getting nervous already.
@AymanM Well we’re already seeing some “media” claiming children were kidnapped by one group when they were literally tried and convicted in a court of law after they stabbed people on video so there’s that.
@AymanM the media generally repeats Netanyahu's talking points. He said Palestinian children held in Israel are "teenage terrorists" and CNN and MSNBC have been parroting it ever since.
@AymanM Who is "Innocent" Ayman? "Children" who were detained for crimes that include stabbings or women and children who were violently ripped from their homes by a gang of rapists and murderers. Gosh, so hard to choose. I can see why the media is struggling with this one. 🙄
@AymanM It’s easy: hostages are innocent and prisoners are criminals.
@AymanM @deenashakir asinine comment. not the media who decide. It’s the actions of the people. Those who committed acts of violence, were caught, tried + given rights as prisoners. those who were kidnapped innocently from their beds. An easy distinction unless of course you don’t want to make it
