Graduate student Miaomiao Dong presented a poster at the 15th AutoUI conference in Ingolstadt, Germany in September, 2023.

Our recent publication, investigating the effects of automated vehicle interaction types and road events on drivers' trust and preferred driving style, is now published in Human Factors: doi.org/10.1177/001872…. This work was funded by the Honda Research Institute USA, Inc.

Graduate student Miaomiao (Mia) Dong presented two studies on trust in automated vehicles (supported by Honda Research Institute USA) and alcohol effects on driving (collaborated with the ECHO Lab, director @jackiescha) at the 66th HFES Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA.

Graduate student Kimberly D. Martinez presented a poster on tactile interfaces to support automated vehicle takeover at the 66th Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA.

Congrats to the BAT Lab alumnus, Susan Summerville for winning the 2022 Arnold M. Small Best Student Paper Award from the HFES Aging Technical Group, for the paper entitled, "Exploring the Use of Public Transportation Among Older Adults During COVID-19 Pandemic: A Pilot Study."

Our newest two publications on tactile display (e.g., haptic seat) and automated vehicle takeover are now available in the journals of IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems (ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/99065…) and IEEE Access (ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/98814…).

The BAT Lab graduate student, Kimberly D. Martinez, presented a study on meaningful tactile signals to assist takeover in automated driving at this year's Automotive User Interface conference in South Korea, Seoul. @AutomotiveUI
