*Deep sigh… Ewers checks into max protection on this 4th & 13 call. So I know it’s being taught.

We are 21 starts into Arch Manning's career. I don't think I've seen him make a single protection adjustment or check at the line of scrimmage. And if he doesn't have the autonomy to do so... it means he lacks the ability to do so at this point.

I highly recommend you find yourself a clingy (healthy) lovey dovey partner who's super excited about you. Life is too short to spend it with someone who act like showing love is a chore.

He did small roles and guest work for YEARS and didnt catch his big ones (This is Us, Story of OJ) til he was FORTY in 2016. And TEN years after that he’s at what people would say is the peak of his career. At FIFTY. If youre reading this.. you still got time 🫡

I said this to a group of coaches and players one day and got the craziest looks. 😂 “If you want to strikeout less, you have to be willing to strikeout looking” If you know … you know.

Trey Hannam @TJHannam10

If you’re scared to strikeout looking, Then you’re going to chase w/ 2 strikes more. You’re going to chase out of the zone out of FEAR I’ve learned from great coaches that their best hitters K more LOOKING than swinging SHRINK, not widen w/ 2 strikes LSU stresses this too

Pro athletes are literally built differently. I went to high school with 2 successful MLB pitchers. Craziest story came from freshman year: During tryouts, one of the tests they had us do was to see how far we could throw a baseball. We walked out to the football practice field

Coaching Pet Peeve: Not coaching the JV as hard as the varsity. It’s an investment in the future of the program. It’s also job security. Many will be immediate backups, starters the next season, or in a few seasons.

South Carolina’s student section came down to the front with two minutes left and the Gamecocks had the ball. Alabama then forced a fumble and scored a touchdown with less than a minute to go and later won 29-22

You gotta feel for USC. What were they supposed to do? Find a group of 11 more teams in or near the pacific time zone and play them every week? Get serious.

Ryan Kartje @RyanKartje

Lincoln Riley isn’t thrilled about USC’s early kickoff this week in Champaign. “Going from the absolute latest kick in the country to the absolute earliest kick in the country has its challenges. But the challenges — like, it is what it is. We don’t make the schedule. Clearly.”
