Harness Thoughts: 1. if your harness’ model isn’t loosely coupled, you’re going to build tech-debt at the speed of model improvement. 2. your skill index is more important than the skills themselves; high contrast, discriminative, terse descriptions = confident & correct agent decisions. if the harness spawns another agent just to understand your skills index, you have a bad skills index 🔥 3. if you aren’t observing token usage then you are gambling. eventually two agents will spend $20 debating whether a variable should be named userId or user_id. 4. maximize deterministic routing within your probabilistic system, for goodness’ sake. don’t give your model freedom where freedom has no value 🔥 5. models are trained to please the user, not necessarily to tell them when they’re wrong. if your harness doesn’t actively counter sycophancy, you’ve built a hollow yes-man. 6. evals are the powerful, boring part that real engineers don’t neglect. without evals, you’re not improving your harness, you’re just changing it and hoping for the best.

@elder_plinius @elder_plinius any chance the 4bit MLX Qwen3.8 27b will come out soon? This size works really well on MacBooks with 24gb unified ram

Appetite-driven development. I made the term up. Hear me out. Those with drive keep burning brighter. We leave quantifiable artifacts in our wake every quarter, evidence of real growth. High-capacity builders in low-leverage cages. Understand this: The org often has no appetite for the gap between what we are capable of and what the org actually needs day-to-day. Most companies optimize for reliability, process, and cost control. Not your force multiplication. Where does your excess capacity go? Build toward appetite. Family has near-infinite appetite for your presence and strength. And you can create new appetites! New products, new environments and paradigms that actually require the level you’re already operating at and toward. That burning strength should be steered to naturally search out & attract appetites that have the capacity to absorb it. #AppetiteDrivenDevelopment #CareerGrowth #TechCareers #HighPerformers #BuildInPublic #ForceMultiplier #PersonalGrowth #DeveloperLife #CreateYourOwnOpportunity #ProfessionalDevelopment

In Texas they told me to stop at Buc-ee's for gas. I have been to shrines. I have stood in temples that took two hundred years to build. I was not prepared for the gas station. There were one hundred and twenty fuel pumps. I counted them because I did not believe them. A man beside me was filling a truck the size of my first apartment, and he was not filling it because it was empty. He was filling it because he was here, and here is where a man fills things. Inside was a hall so vast I lost the horizon. A wall of jerky. A wall of fudge I did not know the country produced. A brisket sandwich handed to me by a man in a beaver costume. And I want to be clear, the beaver is not a mascot. The beaver is a saint. The people speak of him the way my grandmother spoke of the mountain behind her house. And the bathrooms. I had been warned about the bathrooms and I had dismissed the warning as the pride of a loud people. I was wrong to dismiss it. The bathrooms are famous across the whole state and they have earned it. I have slept in worse hotels. I nearly bowed upon entering. A janitor was polishing the floor with the devotion of a man tending a garden he loved, and when I thanked him he said "welcome in," which I have since learned is what Texas says instead of hello, and also instead of I am glad you exist. I went in for gas. I was inside for ninety minutes. I came out with fudge, a shirt printed with a joke I do not fully understand, forty dollars of jerky, and a feeling I can only describe as having been to church. I did not need any of it. I needed all of it. I have walked through the great cathedrals of the old world. I lit no candle there. I lit no candle at Buc-ee's either. But I did fill the truck. And I understand now that in Texas, this is the same thing.

@AurelienWeiss Very nice tool, Aurélien! Thank you for reaching out, I am going to take a deeper look at applyra.io

Just shipped for iOS: HomeOp is now live on the App Store! apps.apple.com/app/homeop/id6… As a full-time American Airlines employee, dad of three juggling family life and home admin, I built HomeOp to get better at managing everything. An AI knowledge base that turns scattered schedules, bills, docs, and obligations into one searchable system to chat with. Just snap a picture of the snail mail, take a screenshot of an email or upload documents. HomeOp intelligently reads, categorizes and notifies only tells us what we need, when we need it. Busy families and homeowners... finally you can put it down. Stay organized automatically. Feedback welcome as we keep building! #IndieDev #FamilyTech #iOS #HomeAutomation #AI #Productivity #ParentLife #HomeOrganization

@zdogmode HomeOp- reads your family admin obligations, gently tells you what you need to know, when you need to know it. Aimed at parents. I'm a builder not a marketer 🫠 apps.apple.com/app/homeop/id6…

@alexabelonix Thank you, you seem to be doing good work yourself!

Agentic Loops: Pillar by Pillar I just finished my practical guide on building reliable agentic loops. Drop it into your favorite chat model. It's a solid foundation for building from, learning and iterating on. Feedback is always welcome! github.com/brandondocusen… #AgenticLoops #LoopEngineering #AIAgents #LLM

I've never felt this much behind as a programmer. The profession is being dramatically refactored as the bits contributed by the programmer are increasingly sparse and between. I have a sense that I could be 10X more powerful if I just properly string together what has become available over the last ~year and a failure to claim the boost feels decidedly like skill issue. There's a new programmable layer of abstraction to master (in addition to the usual layers below) involving agents, subagents, their prompts, contexts, memory, modes, permissions, tools, plugins, skills, hooks, MCP, LSP, slash commands, workflows, IDE integrations, and a need to build an all-encompassing mental model for strengths and pitfalls of fundamentally stochastic, fallible, unintelligible and changing entities suddenly intermingled with what used to be good old fashioned engineering. Clearly some powerful alien tool was handed around except it comes with no manual and everyone has to figure out how to hold it and operate it, while the resulting magnitude 9 earthquake is rocking the profession. Roll up your sleeves to not fall behind.

:::What brought me to Monad::: Because Monad’s low fees and low latency fit my high-volume scalping requirements. :::What kept me on Monad::: After scalping for two weeks I invested and staked because I was impressed with Monad’s on-chain tech performance & DeFi potential. EVM comparability is helpful as well, but that feels more like a short-term convenience boost.

I care about engineering, not Monad. In my 40s with 20+ years in software. Price, culture & hype are irrelevant. The exchange platform with the best architecture is Monad. It doesn’t matter if the team is comprised of soggy-raisin assholes or busty big booty angels; it doesn’t matter that the tokenomics have bias. •Minimal friction per transaction •Minimal friction for builders This platform is SOTA in both of these categories. This value is why I’m staked and building. @monad @monad_dev @keoneHD @cryptunez @be_kindplss @mikeinweb @internbrah @intern @monad_APAC @buntyverse #Crypto

@elie2222 Elite, this is 🔥!

@elie2222 Dark pattern or UI oversight?

@Oroshibu @aseprite That is beautiful, and I was very frustrated when I put Good Boy in the garage. After October, when we are both independently wealthy from our own projects, let’s give it another go
