the fact that suzanne collins has written not one but TWO new hunger games novels in the past five years should terrify you about the current state of the world considering she only writes when she has something to say.

Is hitting 30k words on a writing WIP plan a red flag or a green one? PS I'm also not done yet. I've been told I need to slow down.

Hopefully making this year better than the last. Not a bad year, just a tough one. 2023 is bringing a new job, 9 years with Pat, exploring and writing more and actually getting life started and steady. 🥰

Handed in my final writing piece for my Masters in the early hours of this morning! 🎉 A labour of love and it came from a very personal place, highlighting everything about my beloved 2nd home in the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 I hope to one day share it with the world. 💕

Update: She watched an hour of IfWar, talked and made random noises the whole time then kept asking what was happening and who everyone was 😂

We’ve watched Homecoming and I asked if she wanted to go to the next Spider-Man film and just explain what happens, or watch Infinity War/EndGame first (there is no way she’s sit through all the other ones.) We’re currently watching IfWar 👍🏻

So. 9 year old Scarlett has started taking an interest in watching Spider-Man, so Pat and I have worked through Maguire&Garfield and now we’re on Holland. But to do that we’d need to start at the beginning of ALL Marvel. Wish us luck. 🙃

As I stroll on TikTok, I keep seeing parents video their children reacting to The Little Mermaid trailer. So instead of focusing so much on the negative, I thought I’d show a thread of the little black kids who are excited to see their favorite princess look like them.

Me: I think I have a problem... Alice: YOU HAVE 185 GIBLE? Me: In my defence, about 14 of these are Garchomps and 4 are Gabite. (I didn't tell her how many I binned BEFORE I showed her this 😬) #Pokemon #PokemonGO

Pt.2 - When I got my loan, I worked out that I could pay for rent, electric, water, food and petrol to get to Uni and back for about £1000 a month. £40… to £300 for just my electric. For a two bedroom flat. That had broken electric heaters for 4 months.
