In the early days of AIDS, as chronicled by Randy Schilts in his excellent book And the Band Played On, gay men were dying of infections of cryptosporidium, a parasite most commonly found in the intestines of sheep.

@Babygravy9 What makes this tweet perfect is Randy's last name.
@Babygravy9 Boggles my mind lots of these guys would jump on a chair and scream if they saw a mouse but are totally fearless when it comes to poop
@Babygravy9 They are not at all like us. Many wires crossed.
@Babygravy9 Sounds like a job for Ivermectin
@Babygravy9 All that was required to stop the spread of monkeypox inside a month was that gay guys not get any new sexual partners for 21 days. Even "for 21 days, check new partners so you are sure they don't have this particular disease" would have worked. But they couldn't do it.
@Babygravy9 I read in some blog that early on during the aids pandemic ivermectin was doing very well with early stages of HIV and then they stopped using ivermectin out of nowhere for no reason at all.
@Babygravy9 It's so weird living in this duality where minor social mistakes get paraded around like its the end of the world, yet we prop up and celebrate the most degenerate group on earth - gay men. Anyone remember monkeypox?
