As soon as we opened our doors tonight - 47 hungry people came inside- a mixture of those who are street homeless, those in temporary accommodation and those just struggling. No questions are asked, no judgement made but fabulous food, warmth and support are given in abundance.

What a fabulous day at Elliot’s graduation despite the rain! Really lovely ceremony and he’s had an amazing 3 years! Wonderful dinner and stay st The Harbourmaster in Aberaron to round off the day ❤️
HUGE Thanks to everybody that donated, cooked & delivered Christmas Dinners and a buffet to 140 people including families ( and presents for the children) in temporary hotel/hostel accommodation yesterday.❤️ especially the amazing Andy & Paula

@Myprotein It has taken a month of exchanges regarding a non delivery and you still havent responded adequately or refunded. Very poor customer service.

@waylo12 @Sacha_Lord Wayne- I feel your pain- every day I get a call- last day of isolation is Monday - but people arriving back in UK on Monday double vaxed dont need to- so I asked the question- can I stop isolating after Day 9- Sunday- answer No- even somebody travelling back on Sunday will 🤷🏻♀️

“You know what today is? It is the 1st anniversary of me being rendered homeless. This time 12 months ago I was turning up at the hotel with my stove, a sleeping bag and the clothes I stood up in!” 12 months on and this person has their own flat, and is helping us feed others ❤️
We are still here and are looking forward to re-opening up our Drop In provision at Campbell Hall, re-starting our Soul Survivors football sessions & our walking & cooking groups. And we will continue to support those we have met during the last, very strange 12 months. ❤️
Its not just the meals- its support - food parcels, emergency meal provision, toiletries and advice. Its the sense of community, the support from independent restaurants, from church and community groups, from individuals cooking meals and baking treats - its been phenomenal.
We have been reminded today that 12 months ago we had to adapt our service to support those who were homeless and in temporary accommodation due to Covid-19. 12 months and over 34,000 meals later- we are still here and still supporting those who are homeless.
@LFCSCAL We are having to make the same decision this week. Will be 16 this year too- so so hard but its quality of life 😢
If you are following us you will have seen the amazing meals and sweet treats going to those who are homeless but in temporary accommodation. These have all been cooked by local independent restaurants, church groups, community groups and individuals in the local community. 1/2
