The thing many Nigerians fail to realize, is that Nigeria is of no use to the international community. We can’t even convince Niger that the 200M+ people living next door provide any economic importance to them. Niger basically sanctioned Nigeria and their gdp didn’t shrink. They moved on like it was nothing. Nigeria could burn into flames, and not a single country would bat an eyelid or send anyone to put out the fires. That’s how useless the country is from the world’s perspective. Not even the economies of Benin or Cameroon would be affected if an asteroid wiped Nigeria out of the face of the earth. This is why UAE can wake up and issue a visa ban, and it won’t even dwindle their tourism revenue. SV can stop investing in Nigeria and not a single LP would complain. Banks can shut out Nigerian UBOs and their revenue targets would be untouched. This is why no US president has even visited Nigeria since the days of Obasanjo. They don’t even consider the country good enough for photo ops. Nigeria is not even a torn in the flesh of the world, like North Korea. It’s just an inconsequential country of email spammers that absolutely no one cares about. The earlier you realize this, the better it is for you.
@MikaelCBernard I disagree with this view. I have been priviledged to attend meetings, trade delegations and the rest organized by foreign missions in Nigeria. These interactions does not seem to support your position. Their frustrations are with the government hence private sector engagements.
@yemiogundein You attended events organized by “foreign missions inside Nigeria” and that formed your position?
@MikaelCBernard Aside these, I've traversed markets around this country especially in the North and the West and I know Nigeria is central to trade and commerce in West Africa. An humanitarian situation that displaces will affect the whole of Africa and the world. May it never occur IJN, amen
@yemiogundein You went to Oshodi market to buy tomato and figured out that Nigeria is central to trade in the entire sub continent. That’s a hell of a discovery
@MikaelCBernard @yemiogundein What formed your position?
@Dat_junkie @MikaelCBernard @yemiogundein Hatred, delusion and assumption
