It really seems incredibly irresponsible to provide classified briefings to someone under indictment for violating the Espionage Act.

@BarbMcQuade Such by contrast is a situation in which it is entirely appropriate for law enforcement to conduct a threat assessment. We don’t share classified information with people under criminal indictment for stealing classified information.
@BarbMcQuade What about people who violated the Espionage Act but won’t be prosecuted because they are too old?
@BarbMcQuade @GregTSargent Without question.
Not only that, imagine for a moment that DJT’s careless or nefarious handling of these documents necessarily resulted in a “damage assessment report” copied to our allies indicating that **their secrets** may also have been compromised as well… And then we’re going to turn around and give him security briefings in the run up to November? !!🆘🆘😱😱😡😡‼️
@BarbMcQuade @pithypacky Common sense is in short supply in some locations
@BarbMcQuade Or someone who sold classified documents to his publisher for $8 million?
@BarbMcQuade Agreed. There are just certain things about our country and constitution that I will never understand 🙄
