🇭🇺 In Hungary, #IVY2026 comes down to something everybody can do: care for others. A little time, a helping hand, an act of kindness. However small, every contribution can make a difference and build a better future for all.

Policy focus: Volunteering works best when it's built into national plans, laws and policies. A strong ask from #IVY2026 for governments. 👏 #UNVolunteers

Two things the International Volunteer Year asks of governments, in its own words: Integrate volunteering into national development plans, legal frameworks, and sectoral policies. Create the conditions in which every form of volunteering can happen.

Learning to measure #volunteerism doesn’t have to be dry! At the Global Volunteering Forum in Paris🇫🇷, UNV and @NUGlobalDev are testing interactive games that make it easy to learn. Why? Because measuring shows value and guides investments. #IVCO2026

"It's all about volunteerism, but the journeys are different, the stories are different and so are the endings" @MasikaMwamutsi, Communications Assistant with UN Volunteers, while documenting volunteer stories in Uganda.

Before a story is shared, someone makes sure it is told the right way. For @unicefbrasil, it's UN Volunteer Lais. He guides teams and partners on communication practices so stories are based on real-life experiences, follow guidelines and represent diversity.
