It used to drive me nuts that the less emotion I showed, the more productive my interactions with people were. Then I simply grew up and accepted reality. A find a little bit of positivity, humor and self-deprecation is the perfect formula for getting what you want from people. But definitely not too much of anything. People do not like completely emotionless robots, but you do not need much to hit that sweet spot.
