It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

The public glorification afforded to a convicted war criminal in Belgrade is an affront to the memory of the victims, their families, and all those who suffered during the conflicts in the Western Balkans. True reconciliation cannot be built on revisionism, the denial of genocide or the honouring of perpetrators. Serbia's path into the European Union requires an unequivocal commitment to fundamental European values and historical truth. There is no place in Europe for the glorification of war criminals.

Israel could shut down the U.K. with a click of their fingers. THAT is how embedded they are in our entire infrastructure. So many of our systems are run by them, or they have a back door to access, including the military! When I say we need to remove them from our entire infrastructure, I mean it with some urgency.

In a difficult and dangerous world, a decade on from Brexit, there is a risk that Britain loses the confidence to lead and stand up for its values. I’m not prepared to let that happen. It is more important than ever that Britain stands for something. We have called for years for a two-state solution in the Middle East, but we must recognise that those words are meaningless unless we back them up with action. For too long, we have been hesitant to act, fearful of being accused of being anti-Israel. Today we are announcing carefully judged, targeted steps that are not aimed at the Israeli people, but at the unacceptable policies of the current Israeli government. The suffering of the Palestinian people is a scar on the conscience of the world. Innocent Palestinians, including children, continue to be killed in Gaza. And there is still a humanitarian crisis, with far too little aid getting in. The scale of destruction is hard to comprehend. More than 70,000 people lie dead - at least 20,000 of them children. Families and communities have been torn apart. Millions displaced. And the population of Gaza is now penned into just one third of the territory. I know that people across the UK feel very deeply about this issue - and so do I. Before I became Prime Minister, I said our country’s response had been too slow and simply not good enough. That’s why I committed to changing the government’s approach. I will not stand by as the horrific suffering continues to grow and the prospect of a two-state solution - the best hope for peace and stability in the region - comes under attack. More settlements have been approved under the four years of this Israeli government than in the previous 20 years. The UN has reported more than 1,500 incidents of settler violence so far this year, aimed at driving out Palestinians. And the situation is growing worse, fast. The Israeli government has now approved 104 new settlements since it took office in December 2022, and ahead of the October elections in Israel, it is allowing tenders for the construction of the E1 mega settlement to go ahead. This would cut a swathe through the heart of the West Bank - snuffing out the hope of realising a two-state solution. It cannot be allowed to happen. That’s why we are announcing a new package of tough measures to put pressure on the Israeli government: First, we will ban the trade in goods with illegal settlements in Palestine. Second, we have formally changed the view of the British government to say for the first time that the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory is unlawful - independent of, but in line with, the conclusion of the international court of justice. And third, we will sanction individuals and companies that support, facilitate or profit from illegal settlements. That includes any businesses or investors that take part in the construction of the E1 settlement. In addition, we are announcing a new package of desperately needed humanitarian aid to Gaza. We are taking these steps because it is the right thing to do. I have condemned the monstrous terrorist attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 in the strongest possible terms - and continue to condemn Hamas. However, it does not justify the Israeli government’s actions in Gaza or the West Bank. The measures we are taking are about targeting illegal settlements and increasing the pressure on the Israeli government to change course. We are not imposing sanctions on Israel as a whole, which would punish the Israeli people, many of whom disagree with their government’s position. The Israeli people are not responsible for the actions of their government. And nor is the Jewish community in the UK. Blaming British Jews for the actions of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government is wrong, plain and simple. And it is antisemitism, plain and simple. I met the representatives of the Jewish community just last week. I know the fear they live with day by day. My government will stop at nothing to ensure they are safe and to stamp out antisemitism in every part of our society. The measures we are announcing today are about protecting the only solution that could see the Israeli and Palestinian people living side by side in peace and security - something that people up and down the UK desperately want to see. The government I lead will keep working with our partners around the world to keep that hope alive.

The UK and 11 other countries today announced their support for trade sanctions targeting illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank. All EU Member States agree that Israeli settlements in the West Bank are illegal under international law. The Israeli Government’s settlement expansions in the West Bank are undermining the prospects for a viable two-State solution. The EU remains the largest donor of humanitarian assistance to Gaza and the West Bank. We remain firmly committed to supporting a comprehensive, just and lasting peace based on the two-State solution, with two states living side-by-side in peace within secure and recognised borders.

Mieszkałem i pracowałem 8 lat w Mołdawii. Poznałem specyfikę jej zbuntowanego terytorium Naddniestrza. Mogę potwierdzić, że nie da się tam wjechać bez zgody tamtejszego KGB, które jest zarządzane bezpośrednio przez ruskie GRU i FSB. A co dopiero tam zamieszkać…

Pan @MaciekDuszczyk i całe MSWiA twierdzą, że zapanowali nad nielegalną migracją, chwalą się, że przez Białoruś nikt się już nie przedostaje. Tymczasem mamy pełno "misjonarzy" pracujących w tartakach, przetwórstwach mięsa, magazynach, spedycja itd. Itd. 👏

Ukrainian law enforcement has documented six such cases since the beginning of 2026. One of the latest incidents occurred just days ago in the Zhytomyr region. Investigators say a 17-year-old girl from Berdychiv, who was in contact with a handler via Telegram, received a narcotic substance by mail and allegedly mixed it into an alcoholic drink consumed by a Ukrainian soldier. After the man lost consciousness, she left the apartment. Several days later, the soldier was found dead.

Jutro miesięcznica. Znowu będą łgali o zamachu, na który przez osiem lat rządów nie znaleźli cienia dowodu. Wypierają, że prawda o przyczynach wypadku jest na taśmach z kokpitu, bo nie mogą przyznać, że podzielili naród dla władzy i pieniędzy.

Ostatnio polskie państwo w kuriozalnych okolicznościach wydaliło z Polski Ukraińca, który wjechał samochodem na Morskie Oko, nie zauważając znaku zakazu, i wydaliło innego Ukraińca, który wyłowił dużego suma w okresie ochronnym. W obydwu tych przypadkach został przywołany art. 302, 1,9 ustawy o cudzoziemcach, zgodnie z którym podstawą decyzji o zobowiązaniu cudzoziemca do powrotu są "względy obronności lub bezpieczeństwa państwa lub ochrony bezpieczeństwa i porządku publicznego lub interes Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej". Czy serio ktokolwiek twierdzi, że jednorazowe złamanie przepisów drogowych lub wyłowienie jednego suma jest powodem deportacji? Czy złapanie suma lub wjazd na Morskie Oko jest groźne dla bezpieczeństwa kraju tudzież czy są to wydarzenia trwale zaburzające porządek publiczny? Przecież to kompletny nonsens. Warto też pamiętać, że od decyzji straży granicznej teoretycznie przysługuje odwołanie do sądu, ale nie hamuje ono deportacji, a wyrok może być ogłoszony nawet za dwa lata. Innymi słowy w praktyce decyzja jest de facto ostateczna i oznacza ona wielomiesięczne wyrzucenie człowieka z kraju, w tym oddzielenie go od bliskich. Natomiast obydwie te sprawy pokazują arbitralność decyzji i ich polityczny charakter. Pamiętajmy, że decyzję o deportacji ogłaszali Donald Tusk i Marcin Kierwiński. Jakie będą kolejne przypadki? Polska wydali Ukraińca za to, że splunął przez ramię? Całość sprawia wrażenie, jakby o decyzjach deportacyjnych nie decydowały żadne procedury, tylko dekret ogłoszony pod wpływem nacjonalistycznego wzmożenia w mediach społecznościowych. Czy rząd ma jakiś algorytm deportacyjny? 100 tys. reakcji na fb i x to podstawa deportacji? Wstyd, że tak działa polskie państwo.
