You can still delegate tasks to subagents that use a separate model, but we're increasingly finding this is unnecessary as a builtin feature. Yep absolutely and the line is blurring. We had someone who started their career in sales build out our old Amp Free ad platform, and a lot of folks I talk to are domain experts who can finally scratch that “wish there was an app/agent” itch. Personally more and more of my Amp use cases are things like managing multiple email inboxes, calendaring, and other stuff that’s not strictly “coding”. That being said, we are still a very much “for engineers”-coded product in terms of messaging and positioning. But I imagine we’ll continue to evolve with the frontier :)

@merlindru Orbs are one part of the overall infrastructure. Agent durability, thread coordination, teams, inference, plugins, etc. are outside of orbs. Think of it as similar to the classic control-plane/data-plane split but with orbs rather than data.
