Today, my heart is full of gratitude. On 16th August 2025, I wrote an open letter to @KFC Uganda, asking them to consider bringing a KFC branch to Jinja City. I believed our city deserved it. Today, I can proudly say that they listened. Thank you, @KFCinUganda, for believing in Jinja and for choosing Shell Amber Court, near the mighty River Nile, as the home of your newest branch. It is more than just opening another restaurant—it is an investment in a city that continues to inspire the world. Soon, families, friends, tourists, and travelers will enjoy their favorite KFC meals while feeling the cool breeze from the legendary River Nile. That's an experience you can hardly find anywhere else. Jinja is not just another city. It is the Source of the Nile, one of the world's greatest rivers. It is a place of adventure, history, culture, hospitality, and breathtaking beauty. I like to call it the Source of Love and Life—because just as the Nile gives life to millions of people across Africa, Jinja has a unique way of bringing people together through its warmth, peace, and unforgettable experiences. To KFC Uganda, thank you for making a wise decision. Your confidence in Jinja is a vote of confidence in its people, its future, and its growing economy. I hope this is only the beginning of many more investments that will continue to transform our beautiful city. To everyone, let's welcome KFC Jinja City with love and support. Let's enjoy great chicken, great company, and the refreshing breeze of the River Nile. Welcome to Jinja City, KFC. You have chosen one of the most beautiful places on Earth. ❤️🍗🌍 Wan.

@SamsonMKasumba @mrkato2031 @HEBobiwine A person who doesn't vote, what is the difference between you and your 4-year-old kid? You can't make decisions on your own, but you think you have the moral authority to talk about Uganda's politics. What do you know?

@SamsonMKasumba @HEBobiwine It's because that's the first day you went to the Ghetto where the people who the government is fighting to keep poor stays. They saw you as an opportunity and when your phone was stolen, it wasn't taken to shoot Tiktok videos but rather to sell it and get something to eat.

@DouglasLwangaUg The problem here is creativity, why do you name everything Chameleon, bro sit and think you need to get better and more attractive names for your businesses not everything Chameleon

@dem_opondo @JoelSsenyonyi @mkainerugaba @ObothOboth @KagutaMuseveni @NRMOnline But which Ugandans do you people always talk about, mbu "apologize to Ugandans", what did Joel Ssenyonyi do to us apart from fighting for us? You should stop including us in your stupid things. We Ugandan knows who is on our side and who is not.

AN OPEN LETTER TO CAFÉ JAVAS UGANDA Dear Café Javas, There are cities that simply exist. Then there are cities that breathe. Jinja is one of them. Every sunrise here carries the laughter of the Nile. Every evening settles softly over a city that has mastered the art of welcoming strangers until they become family. And somewhere between those beautiful mornings and peaceful nights... ...there is an empty table. A table waiting for Café Javas. We've watched you become more than a restaurant. You have become the place where friendships begin over cappuccinos, where birthdays are celebrated over towering milkshakes, where business ideas are born between cups of coffee, where families gather around generous plates, and where memories quietly find a home. Now imagine all of that... At the Source of the Nile. Imagine your rich coffee rising with Jinja's morning mist. Imagine your famous breakfasts welcoming adventurers before they chase the rapids. Imagine your creamy milkshakes cooling travellers after an afternoon beneath our golden sun. Imagine your handcrafted burgers, sizzling grills, fresh juices, irresistible desserts and beautiful meals becoming part of the stories people tell after every visit to Uganda's most beautiful city. Because Jinja is not merely a destination. It is an experience. People come here to find adventure. To find peace. To find love. To find themselves. Why shouldn't they also find Café Javas? Our streets have carried history. Our river has carried civilizations. Our people carry smiles that never seem to run dry. What we seek now is a place where conversations can linger a little longer... Where students can dream. Where entrepreneurs can plan. Where couples can laugh over cheesecake. Where families can create traditions around your tables. Every great city deserves a place that feels like home. For many Ugandans... That place is Café Javas. So allow Jinja to become part of your story. Build beside the city where the Nile begins. Serve coffee where the morning breeze carries hope. Pour milkshakes that are as joyful as our people. Fill plates for a city whose appetite is as big as its heart. We promise you this: Jinja will not simply visit. Jinja will belong. And so will you. The river has been flowing for thousands of years. Perhaps it has been leading you here all along. We will keep a seat waiting. With admiration, hope, and the warmest invitation, Rahuman Wansolo For the people of Jinja City
