My 2-year-old saw snowflakes falling today and yelled, "It's not Christmas!" You tell 'em, kid.
My 3-year-old accidentally called Hamburger Helper "Hangover Helper." She's ready for college.
5-year-old: *spits* Me: No being a llama. 5: I'm a cobra.
3-year-old: *jumps on her bed* Me: No jumping on your bed! 3: *jumps on her sister's bed*
5-year-old: Are Frosted Flakes made of meat? Me: No. 5: Then why do they feed them to a tiger. My cereal box has a plot hole.
What I said: Go to bed. What my kids heard: Get out every toy you own and run two marathons.
If you wondered what it's like to be a parent, my kids got in a screaming match over the rules for the quiet game.
Me: Did you have fun at school? 5-year-old: Part of it. Me: Which part? 5: The part when I came home.
Me: What do you want to do for International Women's Day? Wife: Be respected enough that we don't need an International Women's Day. Me: How about brunch?
How I pick out clothes: 1) Do they fit? 2) Do they look okay? 3) Are they warm enough? How my 3-year-old picks out clothes: 1) Do they give me superpowers?
7-year-old: I'm too old to play princesses. Me: Oh? 7: I play queens.
5-year-old: *very seriously* At school, I color with markers. Me: That's a big responsibility. Are you sure you can handle it? 5: No. But I do it anyway.
5-year-old: I invented a new dance. Me: What is it? 5: It's like ballet, but I punch stuff.
Me: *carrying a heavy box* I need you to move. 2-year-old: *wiggles in place*
