Update: We have received confirmation from the US government that it will re-open its land border on November 8, 2021 for fully-vaccinated travellers from Canada undertaking non-essential travel.
As always, make sure to check with @DHSgov for official US entry requirements prior to travelling. All travellers should also make sure they are eligible to re-enter Canada before leaving.
@BillBlair 250 people can pack an event but I cannot have more then ten vaccinated people at my own house, this double standard is a problem and insane
@BillBlair @JustinTrudeau Billy, answer your tweets. People with mixed doses need answers. Sheesh
@BillBlair When can my family actually take advantage without expensive PCR tests? $600-800 US for us to visit may father for first time in 19 months. How is that fair? Daughter still lives away from us and PCR requirement is final roadblock to bring her home.
@BillBlair If you want to pay 250 bucks every time you cross the border just to get your gas and milk
@BillBlair @JustinTrudeau Problem is Canadians r still required to have a negative PCR 72 hours before entry back into Canada. Not going to have many driving over the border for short overnight shopping trips.
@BillBlair Now you just need to remove the requirement of a negative PCR test for fully vaxxed. The vast majority of trips across the border by car are short making the cost of a test prohibitive. Either vaxxed is good or not
@BillBlair @JustinTrudeau It would be nice if you included some guidance for those of us that were compliant and took the first available vaccine(Astra Zeneca). Also, what about those of us that mixed our vaccines?
@BillBlair That’s actually too bad. Travelling vacationing Canadian’s should keep 🇨🇦 money in the Canadian economy to patronize it first and foremost. Canada 🇨🇦 is fabulous. Coast to Coast. Avoid the USA.
