In 2019, I was elected FIRST EVER PRO of LESA, Federal College of Education, Zaria. No office. No handover. No budget. Just a title. Here's how we turned zero into welfare for 1000+ students. #FCEZaria #StudentLeadership
Leadership is collective. No NGO, no grant. Just Exco teamwork & student contributions. Zero to welfare
We led 200+ students to Kano Library & Zoo. Many left Zaria first time. We co-founded Writers Club too.
We fixed chairs, provided plastic chairs, mirrors & office tags. As team, we restored dignity.
We bought NEW notice boards & installed suggestion boxes. Gave students voice & info.
As Exco, we contributed & bought photocopy machine and subsidized photocopy rate for students.
As pioneer Exco, we had no guide. Students needed photocopies, chairs, boards, voice. Together, we decided to fix needs.
@ABUZaria_DUA @TheAbusite @ABU_Campus It's better this way, but the initial charges were damn astronomical, especially in this very economic dispensation. Many students would have to drop out if they stick to it. It's better they review and bring it down to the affordability of the common man.

In 2016, I was appointed as the Assistant Head Boy at Gaskiya International Academy, Awe, Nasarawa State. Few months later, I got admitted into Federal College of Education, Zaria for NCE (2016-2019). What I did every semester holiday for 3 years surprised even my lecturers.
Why? Not for money. I believed if someone taught me, I should teach others. That volunteer tradition shaped my journey to B.Ed Educational Administration & Planning (2:1) at ABU Zaria. Leadership is service before title. #NigerianTeachers #EducationForAll #ABUZaria #Chevening
By my second year, one school was not enough. I extended the same free lessons to a school in the neighborhood, Amazing Grace Academy, Awe. 2 schools. Every holiday. For 3 years. All while still an NCE student myself.
Instead of resting at home, I went back to my alma mater, Gaskiya Academy, and volunteered to teach. No salary. No allowance. I used my NCE notes to teach English & Civic Education to JSS students who were struggling.
