The politicized attacks on the FDA's #COVID19 vaccine process are anti-science, which like other anti-vaxxer efforts could endanger public health. The EUA process phases release of a new treatment to those who benefit most and include ongoing Phase IV trials.

Public health labs are in the covid fight, and can be doing even more if they had adequate supplies to run their high capacity systems. They need supplies to run their Hologic, Cepheid systems; not supplies for their slower platforms. That’s how they’ll get to maximum capacity.
