Canada would have a much higher standard of living if they had only 30 million people instead of 42 million people. Nothing was gained by allowing millions of people from the 3rd world migrate to Canada over the past 30 years. Every economic metric has trended negative.

I just had a talk with one of 🇨🇦’s former top bankers. He made a great point: 🇨🇦 banks are remarkably comfortable lending you $ to buy a house- but talk to an entrepreneur about asking banks for $ to build a company & you get a very different answer. Then we wonder why our house prices soar while our productivity/entrepreneurship lag. We’ve spent decades designing a banking system that encourages one & discourages the other. Maybe we should change that.

I have never understood Canada's fascination for selling chunks of its residential estate to those who have confirmed they are not interested in living in Canada, being a Canadian, raising a family in Canada or contributing in any way or form to building Canada. FB in part gave us housing crisis. Housing is not an industry to serve the foreign buyers. If an industry is building something Canadians can't afford to buy, may be we need to look at the rot at its core. FB won't make homes affordable. We tried that for 20 years. A Canadian factory worker, a teacher, truck driver, engineer stands no chance to compete with richest from all over the globe. Make the ban permanent. At least for 20 years minimum.
