"Ash! Why did you run from home? She's probably distraught.. I must check on her soon." He paused, realising what has unfolded because of his hasty actions. Perhaps leaving his family behind was the wrong thing to do.. maybe he was just looking out for himself.

Gritting his teeth, he struggled to fight back tears as he hugged his son. He rubbed Ash's back but was visibly shaking. "I-I would never do that.. not intentionally. I had to go into hiding, a lot has happened. I did not want to leave you or the family."
