After work, he'd made his way to the Pub with a couple of chaps. His phone hadn't lit up once, meaning Sherlock hadn't tried to contact him. That left him with a mixed bag of feelings, as he entered the flat. "Sherlock?" @CompetitorOfWit

The kettle began to whistle, so John hopped up out of his chair to tend to it. Making rather quick work of preparing the cups and of course, the biscuits. It was a lot to carry at once, so he happily served Sherlock first. Leaving the treat on his desk.

"Rubbish. I promise you, that's all. But with you preoccupied, I find the flat quite lonely. So, I'll take an infomercial over the silence." He didn't mean that any kind of way. He was more-a-less just giving his reasons.

John rolled his eyes, however he was still smiling. "Sounds thrilling." It wasn't really his place to judge. He would never. While the water worked up to a boil, he decided to turn the telly on. See what was hopping at this hour.

He mumbles to himself as he prepares the kettle. Something about how some things never change. Not that he minded. "What are you working on, anyway?" He asks from the other room.

That damn smirk of his was more contagious than The Plague. John caught himself smiling right back. "No, yeah sure. I'll just get right on that ya cheeky arse." He started towards the kitchen. "Tea?"
