based on? My experience is that gpt-5 is very good and was the best (for Rust/Tauri at least) until sonnet 4.5 which is a definite step up. I use both daily for different things. Sonnet more for specs & details & gpt-5/codex for coding. Lots of other models work as sub agents

shipped a few updates to the opencode site ⦿ new zen page ⦿ added desktop app waitlist ⦿ added faq ⦿ improved copy ⦿ cleaner mobile ⦿ refined dark mode still lots to improve on, but this gives us a better baseline, and allows me to focus full time on our desktop app

sonnet 4.5 is out can use it in opencode via opencode zen, anthropic directly, or openrouter
brace yourselves for the following - it's so over sonnet 4.5 is the only coding model you need - why i'm switching back to claude code - sonnet 4.5 is terrible bring back sonnet 4 - if you don't like sonnet 4.5 it's because you're dumb
