What a great year for area boats. The pennant count is up to seven and Liberty, Engager, Griffin and Major Detail are still on the lake
Robert and Pam Wall finished at 11:35 a.m aboard Chippewa. The corrected time of 41 hours, 38 minutes, 43 seconds is the best in PHRF F
Tom Riley's Flash reached the Island at 1:07 p.m. today. There are 144 boats in the harbor as of 2 p.m. today.
Liberty, Engager, Griffin and Major Detail remain on the Cove Island Course as of noon today.
3 more local boats arrive at the Island. Big Surprise came in at 10:40, while Knots Yours Too finished at 10:45 and It's a Zoo 11:03
Nine locals boats have finished leaving 16 on the lake, including Unplugged, Liberty, Griffin and Major Detail on the Cove Island Course.
The Mackinac Island harbor is filling up. As of 9:50 this morning, 96 boats have finished the Thunder Bay and Cove Island courses.
Details and Natalie J were the top finishers based on corrected time in the Great Lakes 70 and IRC A divisions, respectively.
Rebel is in the running for another pennant. The boat, owned by Chuck Williams and Jim Bowen, is third in PHRF E.
Val A Saph's Rowdy is sitting in third place in PHRF B as they finished at 3:37 this morning. Dean Walsh's Good Lookin' is 2nd in PHRF C.
As of 8:30 this morning, 84 boats have crossed the finish line in the 87th running of the Mackinac race.
MACKINAC RACE: Local boat Fine Line of Fort Gratiot reaches Mackinac Island.
Cheekee Monkee and Windquest are first boats to reach Mackinac Island.

Windquest is traveling at 13.50 knots and is 30 miles ahead of the 2010 Mackinac winner Natalie J as of noon today.
Unplugged of the Bark Shanty Sail Club is the top local boat on the Thunder Bay Course. Tim Clayson's boat is 126 miles from the Island.
Jay Gillespie's Fine Line is 4th on the Thunder Bay Course as of noon. Fine Line is 67.5 miles from Mackinac Island and moving at 10 knots
As of noon, Cheekee Monkee is leading the race on Thunder Bay Course, while Windquest in way out in front on the Cove Island Course
People are busy hanging lights and decorations on their boats in preparation for the Lighted Boat Parade 10 p.m. tonight on the Black River
