@EnglishOER It’s odd that academics (not you) keep wanting to view things like Perplexity vs Google etc as a zero sum dilemma. I find it frustrating.
@Brehove Yes--we can see them as complementary and use both even sometimes as part of the same task.
@Brehove @EnglishOER TBC, it's not a zero sum dilemma. It's a contrast b/w a tool that is suitable for research and one that isn't. Shah & Bender's two articles & Alison/DeRewal's forthcoming essay are, IMO, definitive about this. Have you read these yet?
