Made the glorious discovery that our department museum Mac Classic is the posh model with a (gasp!) 40MB hard drive, and it still boots (unlike the floppy-only ones that we need to get boot discs for). Found the right keyboard and mouse too, so it’s complete!
For looking at the internal components of computers, the venerable Power Mac G4’s quick-release hinged side panel and super-clean internal layout is hard to beat 👍
