Discovered that I can utilise the whole wall of floor to ceiling blinds in my room with some simple wooden pegs. Feel alive with all the space I now have to play with 😂 #year3 #teacher #edutwitter #ECT

Need some book inspiration please - your favourite novels you’ve read with a Year 3 class? Really want to get the whole class hooked on a great book 📚 #ECT #year3 #NQT

@MissPickston4 I know! I feel like I’m constantly stopping them and telling them they are being too loud. And within a minute they’re screaming again 😂

My class are exceptionally loud in the afternoons. Any tips on how to keep the volume down whilst children complete tasks? Need to give my voice a rest 😩

First 6 weeks of my final placement completed. I’m absolutely exhausted but so proud to have made it to Christmas in such difficult times at school! Excited to go back in January but for now so ready to go home and enjoy 3 weeks off. Where can I get a large glass of mulled wine?

Overheard the following in class today: “Miss Burd has got lots of wrinkles on her face. Look at them all! Her face is covered in wrinkles. She’s so wrinkly!” Was getting ready to jump to my skins defence, when it was discovered that the word they were looking for was freckles🤣

Teaching science Y3 topic of rocks. Introduced the children to fossils and how they’re formed this week but they really struggled with the concept. Any fun/practical activities I can do next week to help them understand this better?? TIA ❤️ #traineeteacher #science #rocks

@Valentine_Miss_ Thank you so much! I did do this as a whole class this week and just made the one fossil - covid regulations at my school mean children can’t use clay or play doh so a bit tricky to do one each! X
