Asked Tyler Adams about #USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter after last night’s 2-0 win over Mexico. This is what he said:
@ByDougMcIntyre Criticizing and asking questions on a play where a goal was scored is not admirable. If anything, it’s concerning. If Gregg’s first thought to Tyler Adams would be to question why he didn’t pass rather than say “that was a fantastic shot”, THAT’S NOT A GOOD THING.
@ByDougMcIntyre and folks like @ManagerTactical will tell you they're held at gunpoint to make these statements. Or, just, maybe, possibly, there's both good and bad about our manager. That he needs to work on areas of management, but he's very good in others. Far better than many give credit.
@ByDougMcIntyre how about "Our first World Cup experience was a positive in a lot of people's minds" or how Gio picked his words so carefully to say his teammates were great. It's not all for nothing guys. GGG isn't the worst but he's not going to move us forward.
@ByDougMcIntyre Adams has never played for a world class coach. He was a late game sub under nagelsmann
@ByDougMcIntyre @AlexiLalas Queue the “GGG Out” replies incoming now….
@ByDougMcIntyre Don’t show this to USMNT twitter they know more about the team than Tyler Adams does 🤣🤣🤣
@ByDougMcIntyre Ain’t readin allat but it’s still Berhalter out
@ByDougMcIntyre Gregg’s World Cup tactics cost us a win over wales, a multi goal win over Iran and a possible thrilling extra time match against the Dutch. Yeah it’s their first WC but copa America better be at minimum QF. I’m expecting no less than that. Oh and top of the group. If not fire him!
@ByDougMcIntyre "We continue to win in certain situations" is really all you need to hear. When has this team won against a non concacaf opponent?
