Please don't carry more than Rs 50,000 in cash without documents at least till the elections are over. This is due to the Election Code of Conduct which comes into force for the next two months. A Punjab family travelling through Tamil Nadu had Rs 68,000 confiscated by the Election Commission officials. The cash was returned the following day after verification. Good that TN officials did not buckle due to the lady's cries. Indian laws are not only getting stricter in line with advanced countries, they are being enforced too, which is more important.
@ByRakeshSimha And then they allowed Andimuthu Raja's car with a number of suitcases to pass after a cursory glance at just one open bag. A fortuitous video exposure forced the authorities to suspend the BDO presiding the operation. God knows what was inside in all those suitcases.

@ByRakeshSimha That is one of the best jokes I’ve heard in a long time. While the government is using ED to put opposition leaders in jail during election time, people are happy that EC officials are harassing common people on technicalities in the name of conducting free and fair elections.
@ByRakeshSimha Indian laws are specific. It apply differently for different person. 🤡
