CBJ Rising @CBJRising

@Sydney_Supple @NUFBFamily Asian kid goes “I don’t play football” and the holder waiting for him goes “don’t worry, neither do I!” 🤣 that’s some quality content NU

@Aportzline @NHL_Rosters Lolol

Sources: New Jersey and Winnipeg are working on a Connor Hellebuyck deal. We will see what develops.

Jake McCabe on whether he was frustrated with the high stick from Kent Johnson: “I'll be honest. Yeah, I think guys can take better care of their sticks for sure, but obviously it's an accident. You know, I'm not going to fault him for that, but just a general consensus. I've gotten a couple high sticks last 3-4 games and they seem to be from younger players, so keep your stick down.”

@LeafsSeason @PierreVLeBrun Deal

@LeafsSeason @PierreVLeBrun Actually, it was more that Marchenko is dynamic and Vronk has a knack for standing on the back pipe with his stick on the ice and Marchy looks for his bestie as a backboard (nearly all their points came on the PP but the two have some real nice passing chem 5v5 too)

Some teams calling with interest on winger Dmitri Voronkov. Not saying he will be traded for sure but CBJ listening.

@TSN_Sports @OverDrive1050 I can’t get over the fact this guy calls himself “o-dog” and we’re supposed to take his opinions seriously lol get real, you only watch #CBJ when they’re playing the Leafs

@OverDrive1050 You go by “O-dog”? Can’t take you seriously ever when you actually call yourself that. Child behavior

Rewatch it again (not distracted) and if you still don’t agree with anything above, open to hearing you out. I’ve watched it twice. Start to finish, unbothered. The tweet was my opinion. But I’m not naive to think I’m right or superior to your (anyone’s opinion). But you can’t just ask a silly question. My silly answer is “the blue jackets vs the leafs, played on 10/20/26

After watching last nights #CBJ tape again, I thought there were a lot more positives that the narrative suggests. Team did maintain some quality possession, found some high quality looks, and didn’t look too disconnected defensively. I think the odd-man rushes were a problem but they all stemmed from a D man pushing and a poor angle taken by the covering forward. The underlying advanced stats suggest CBJ had all the chance to win and Jet likely would like to have a shot or two back. The top two lines must start producing. We’ve talked too much about “almost there”, “we’re getting chances”, blah blah blah. You can get all the chances you want but to win, you must score. And we are not burying chances. I think this team is missing what Marchy was beyond just the play driver; a true shooter. Fantilli should be that but he’s doing too much right now (and has been since coming into the league — I compare him to a NHL version of Russell Westbrook. Freak athlete, all the skill, but too fast for his own good early… he became a league MVP). Nichuskin’s one timer must be utilized more and to do that, we gotta get him off the defensive line of Monny & Garland/Vronk. On the PP, I really liked the move of putting KJ on the left board and letting him set up his wrister or throw the cross ice seam or find the slot. I thought while we went 0/6 (really 0/5 bc of a short PP), we did create a lot of chances. Must score, but better than previous look with KJ on right board. Use Fantilli or Nichuskin for the LH one-timer in slot and right half board. The lines obviously must be shaken up. Here’s my hope and dream of what *could* drive different results (good or bad): Nichuskin-Fantilli-KJ Monahan-LDBB-Coyle Knies-Sillinger-Olivier Vronkov-Heinen-Lomberg PP1: 🥅 Coyle KJ Fantilli Nichuskin Z

@jatarps I know I know. Scoring in the NHL is hard. Often, the best teams in the league are in the bottom when it comes to PP%.

@DWynkoop ?

Not being able to keep Marchenko may have totally reset our trajectory. I thought he was going to be a superstar this season before all of the drama. He’s 100pt guy imo. On the Blue Jackets. He would be carrying us. We should have been more willing to pay Marchy $15M than the 19 deal… #CBJ

@SeanHoy27 I rewatch most games

On another #CBJ note, got to see Jackson Smith and Penn State last night up close and personal. I don’t wanna spook any fans when morale is already at an all-time low, but let’s just say, Jackson was benched after an egregious couple mistakes very early in P1 and starting P2, he wasn’t any better. Sloppy puck handling, not much assertiveness, took a huge hit he was blindsided by, bad pen. Let’s hope it’s a small piece of a bigger problem within PSU hockey right now (they’re 0-4, not good), but could be another meddling 1st rounder for the Jackets. P.s. — he is a huge human and has all the tools. But brutal game last night.

@bisson_mark @BrewJacketsPod @F1RETHECANNON Grey could be homage to the Chill???? I’d love a true Chill honored jersey but would never happen

@MD76MAC
