"If you are arguing for this to be a penalty, you hate football!" 😳 Our rules expert @ChristinaUnkel advocates for "common sense" officiating while Nigel Reo-Coker believes Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel has every right to be fuming over this no call 👀
@CBSSportsGolazo @ChristinaUnkel As a football fan I strongly disagree with the comments. Rules > 'common sense'. Everyone should understand and follow rules at all level irrespective if it is friendly or QF If this was given I would not have been fuming on ref but on Gabriel for making schoolboy mistake.
@CBSSportsGolazo @ChristinaUnkel Rules are for a reason. Common sense has nothing to do about it. Ref cannot decide when rules will be respected and when not. If player did not hear the whistle it is only his mistake.
@CBSSportsGolazo @ChristinaUnkel The rules are the rules until they're not... smdh
@CBSSportsGolazo @ChristinaUnkel Lets use common sense and respect the rules.
@CBSSportsGolazo @ChristinaUnkel Move on Christina. Common sense ain't common. People pretend to love football but in all honesty they HATE it.
@CBSSportsGolazo @ChristinaUnkel Who is the guy in the red suit? Kane wasn't even looking when the ball was played and Bayern didn't press a goal kick all night. Christina nailed it here. You hate football if you think that's a penalty. And the ref was well within his rights to use common sense here
@CBSSportsGolazo @ChristinaUnkel I understand your sentimental take but this goes both ways.Saka’s incident was 50/50 and ref ignored the call. This was an honest mistake but was it a penalty regardless of the advantage? Yes. It’s normal for people to advocate on every favorable decision,it’s part of the game.
@CBSSportsGolazo @ChristinaUnkel It’s a penalty! Period! The laws are clear ! What is this ?
@CBSSportsGolazo @ChristinaUnkel Utter nonsense now we argue about hating football when the narrative has changed ! The laws are the laws! It’s a penalty! Period !
@CBSSportsGolazo @ChristinaUnkel thank god for your rules expert 🤣
