Gig workers are workers too and they deserve the same rights afforded to any workforce. Amid the skyrocketing prices for food and transportation, they have no financial security for and susceptible to unfair treatment from employers. #TogtherWeCan #CommunitySolidarity

The pandemic showed the lack of supports workers had in Manitoba. The majority of workers have no access to paid sick days on the job, forcing them to make the impossible decision of working sick to pay the bills or staying home to protect public health. #TogtherWeCan
Workers shouldn’t be forced to experience poverty when they’re working 40 hours/week. We’re struggling to keep our heads above water and provide for our families and ourselves. Together we can achieve a just recovery that leaves no one behind. #CommunitySolidarity #mbgrassroots
Inflation has hit record highs and wages are still being kept low. Research from our coalition partner, @ccpamanitoba, has been done and it’s clear, we need a wage higher than $15 in Manitoba. #TogtherWeCan

There were numerous lessons to be learned as we rise from the Covid-19 pandemic. It revealed the cracks created by years of underfunding public services and many paid a dear price as a result. #TogtherWeCan
Workers are struggling to meet basic needs. We demand: •a liveable minimum wage •at least 10 Paid Sick Days •changes to make it easier for workers to join a union •full & equal rights for gig workers •Health Care for All, regardless of immigration status
