In one of those places tonight as again, life sinks in that I lost one of the best and biggest parts of mine without warning. This just hits me like it is fresh, and all I have left are the memories and regrets of things left unsaid and the ideas of what could have been.

I just want life & people in my life who promote peace, honesty, & clarity. I think it's what I desire/need/want the most. Too many preach it but end up being the opposite. I believe in the motto treat others how you want to be treated. I want to be around those who are the same.

Took some time to listen to audio from 24 years ago as a reminder of what today means. The emotions still hit very hard these many years later, and how close to home it hit me and the community I grew up in during the days and weeks following. It's something I will never forget.

The amount of work and engineering that had to go into planning out a landing area and achieving a soft water landing within view of a buoy camera for Flight 10 is nothing short of incredible.

Sad news to hear. I was fortunate enough to be able to share a couple of email conversations back and forth with Jim Lovell some years ago. Unfortunately, those emails were wiped away from the email servers over time. I am glad to have spoken with one of the pioneer astronauts.
