CCS students cooking up a storm at culinary camp this week! Seasoned, stuffed and cooked a whole chicken on Day 1!! Slice, dice and julienne vegetables. Breakfast quiche, homemade tomato-basil soup and grilled cheese sandwiches today. Homemade meatballs and sauces tomorrow. Yum!

CCS' very first CTE interns gave their final presentations this week. Parents, educators, and business sponsors were there as students shared what they've learned through their internship. Several students graduating signed on as full time employees. @CleveCoSchools #cteworks

CTE hosted its first-ever Masonry Competition at Burns High. Sponsored by Beam Construction. Winners were awarded with cash prizes! 1st Place, Cade Morris (junior); 2nd Place, Nathan Tucker (senior); 3rd Place, Brian Reynolds (Freshman). @CleveCoSchools #cteworks

CHS Automotive students visited ZMax dragway in Charlotte recently. They participated in a STEM program learning from speakers about opportunities in the industry, and important job skills. Students received free tickets to watch the racing event after. @CleveCoSchools #cteworks

CMS 7th grade Careers & Employment class toured Absolute Collision today! They got to watch demonstrations and were able to talk with professionals in the business. CTE provides opportunities for students to experience real-world and hands on experiences.@CleveCoSchools #cteworks

Ten senior masonry students at BHS were recognized at an annual banquet sponsored by spake concrete products. Several companies in the brick & construction industry were there. Students were given gifts and an opportunity to meet potential employers. @CleveCoSchools #cteworks

CMS FFA students travelled recently to the Middle Grades FFA Rally in Greensboro. The parliamentary procedure team ranked third in the state and the BioTech quiz bowl team placed second in their round. Congratulations to these students. @CleveCoSchools #cteworks

Atrium Health MedCenter Air surprised CHS health science students recently. A flight team flew in to demonstrate & talk with students about what it's like in rapid patient transport in trauma situations. Two former health science students set this up. @CleveCoSchools #cteworks
