Please spread the message that the Nailsea Covid-19 Help Group is not just for the 'shielded extremely vulnerable' but for anyone who is self-isolating because they have symptoms or is vulnerable due to age or medical conditions. No one should be afraid to ask for help if needed!

Your Cancer Cafe will be going ahead on Thursday 19th March with two reflexologists, decoupatch, our usual tombola and we have hand gel to give to those that are vulnerable and don't have any. Please keep away if you have flu-like symptoms.

This month's Your Cancer Cafe is on Thursday 20th February, 2 - 5pm at No 65, High Street, Nailsea. Activities for children include rock painting and biscuit decorating. Looking forward to seeing you there.

The next Your Cancer Cafe is on 20th February from 2pm at No 65, High Street, Nailsea. As it is half term, we shall be encouraging children to come along and have some fun with rock painting and a children's tombola. What else can we offer?

In the UK, follow up is a post code lottery. Some breast cancer patients get annual follow up, others none. Depends on hospital and where you live. Everyone should have an annual CT scan and appointment with consultant. I get nothing.

2019 was a great year for Your Cancer Cafe. We welcomed over 70 people through the door, gave over 30 sessions of complimentary therapies, made hundreds of arty and crafty things, welcomed Macmillan, ate hundreds of cakes and received hundreds of pounds in donations. Thank you.

Our Christmassy cancer cafe is on Thursday 19th. Carols, mince pies, Rhudolf cup cakes, Silent Auction, Christmas cake, mulled wine and a present from Santa for everyone. Come and see how we offer mutual support to anyone affected by cancer. 2- 5pm, No 65 High Street, Nailsea.

At Thursday's Cancer Cafe we shall be having visitors from Macmillan to see how we work and to see if it can be emulated in other parts of the country. Along with Christmassy crafts and some Lemon cake made by me, it should be good.

Today, I picked up a bag of goodies from The Works with stone painting, books and colouring pens for our craft actvities and tombola prizes. Thank you everyone who helped fill the box. We also have some fantastic 'bigger' prizes up for grabs between now and Christmas. xxx

The next Your Cancer Cafe is on 17th October at No. 65 High Street, Nailsea 2 - 5pm. Some of us will be learning how to knit! Bring your's along and you can knit with us or learn a new skill. I've never been able to do it so fingers crossed - just not whilst knitting!
