My path to FIRE took a detour this past weekend when I dropped $3k to save my cat’s life. He’s also going to be on $50-$100 a month food for the rest of his life. It’s worth it. I am so grateful I was able to do this.

Goal for this year: See how long I can live the 1 car lifestyle before my spouse & I get annoyed by sharing. I can go out and buy a car today, but I’d like to see if we can make it on one vehicle.

Car got totaled. Trying out that 1 car household thing and walking 1.5 miles to the train station to use public transit to get to work. Maybe this will be ok.

I got rear ended and my car might be totaled. Think about upgrading to an RX350 (2016/17 so I don’t take the depreciation hit too bad). Any other suggestions? Must be reliable and reasonably nice/powerful. Previous car was a Versa that was less speedy than a golf cart.

I wish that those videos about making YouTube a side hustle were honest. Between the learning curve and trying to compete in a saturated niche, it’s not worth the time you put in unless it’s something you live doing.

Thinking of replacing my 2012 Versa (with infamous cvt transmission) with a 2016 Lexus RX 350. Goal is a car I can drive for 2 years without hating my life. Thoughts?
