Peter was a significant influence in Baltimore for decades. His impact on our region through his ownership of the @Orioles and his many charitable contributions has been undeniable.

Peter and I had a good relationship and following my retirement, his generosity towards our family’s foundation and assistance in making the IronBirds an Orioles affiliate in our hometown were greatly appreciated. Laura and I have Georgia and the Angelos family in our thoughts.
@CalRipkenJr @Orioles yeah he took a once proud organization and took a massive dump all over it. Way to go petey
@CalRipkenJr @Orioles Also the man to Thank for Oriole Park at Camden Yards…Thank You Peter…it’s still an Iconic Stadium in Baseball after all these Years! RIP Peter Angelos 🙏🙏😇🫶💯
@CalRipkenJr @Orioles If it weren't for Peter Angelos, the greatest accomplishment of your Hall of Fame career which was breaking Lou Gehrig’s consecutive game streak may have never happened. The only man not to use replacement players to start the 1995 season. RIP Mr. Angelos
@CalRipkenJr @Orioles I’m sure the old man had no idea how his childish sons acted while running his team. The only good thing they did, and it was a big one, was to hire Elias. The O’s will be in better hands now because the new owner might give Elias a little financial support for some free agents.
