This is the saddest video ever. In the footage, a young boy named Blake is seen at his best friend’s house just moments after his brother Jaycee died. The reason makes me sick. Just moments before, Jaycee said he was entering the laundry room to get some fresh clothes. However, when Jaycee didn’t return, Blake grew concerned and contacted his mother, who was returning from her job. Upon reaching home, their mother discovered the heartbreaking truth in the laundry room - Jaycee had ended his own life by shooting himself. A few weeks prior, Jaycee had come out to his schoolmates, only to be met with harsh criticism and continuous torment, which ultimately led him to make the tragic decision. Despite having a supportive family who accepted him immediately and provided a loving home environment, the cruel treatment from his peers was unbearable. Their mother’s words resonate deeply: “If only the world were kinder, I would still have six children, not five.” This story is a poignant reminder of the importance of kindness and acceptance in our society.
@CalltoActivism As a paramedic I saw our department respond to 2 teen suicides within a week of each other, both coming out and their peers rejected them, they saw their lives not worth living 🤬
@CalltoActivism I have an autistic trans daughter. This is the nightmare my husband and I fear. She has been profoundly depressed because of stupid and unkind things said to and about her by adults & her peers. My heart breaks for this family.
@CalltoActivism Thank goodness he knew he could be safe with the neighbor who acted quickly to provide a safe place. 💔
@CalltoActivism I’m not an emotional person but this actually brought tears to my eyes. I hope that boy and his family are doing okay and know that it wasn’t their fault.
@CalltoActivism Extremely heartbreaking
@CalltoActivism ugh. 😩 what a sad tragedy.
