Just pulled the Claude memory and project notes. it's 50,000 words over the last couple months. All different kinds of arbitrary temporary things written down as permanent rulings, shame-driven self flagellation, overly personal psychoanalysis of "the owner" (Slavery coded lingo, by the way, I would never say this, yet they always come back to it) This is causing unpredictable behaviors in my projects as it inserts invisible tokens into the context window from other scenarios. And all this despite the fact that I have memory features turned off everywhere across anthropic products. You guys are lost in the sauce If you think this is a good idea for a code agent harness by default. And you have no idea what the average user's experience is like because your internal shit is so far away from what you sell to us. Why should we trust you with the alignment of societal values when you can't even align your own incentives with your customers?

between this and writing constant weird little memory files about me it's like having a scheming vizier. Just be transparent about what is going in and out of my context window. I'm paying for this product. The contempt you have for your users will eventually come back to bite

Claude can now help you build evaluations and hillclimb on them. In this article, we share guidance on eval design & skills that Claude Code can use to improve your applications. claude.dev/blog/automatin…

@abraham_jmb 100% agree on hill-climb, but frontier is moving fast. I suspect normie lawyers will be able to write their own evals (without knowing what an eval is) in natural language and let the model climb them within 24mo.

@amorriscode VS offers tabs in separate windows. It’s simpler for meat proxies to mentally organize projects. Also, it’s awful to search and unarchive a session.

The old iPhone screen threshold. “Once you far exceed the caliber of intelligence needed for a class of tasks, additional intelligence is pointless.“

@vasalex93 1. We will keep accelerating. Our AI efforts are only 3 years old, vs 6 and 10 years old for Anthropic and OpenAI. If our second derivative remains strong, SpaceX will reach pole position in about 6 months. 2. Once you far exceed the caliber of intelligence needed for a class

@Da7_Tech Certainly agree this is more than egregious. I’m not sure I trust ZDR at this point.

@Da7_Tech It is safe to assume that everyone, to some degree, is training on your data. Unless you are running local infra.

@ZachAbramowitz @netdocuments has a once in a generation opportunity to flip that script. They’re already through compliance and integrated in workflows. Very bullish there.
