When I'm concentrating, I struggle to listen to music with words but I've just found some playlists for '90's grunge but it's Lofi' on @Spotify so looks like that's what I'll be hooked to today while I work on getting my app and database connected😁🎸

I’m always surprised at the apparent confidence of friends and acquaintances in their 20’s. To be fair I was probably the same back then - which begs the question, do you just get more humble as you get older, or is it that life has worn you down? 🤔

At #100daysofcode day 60 now already. I've been practicing DOM manipulation, using IIFE's and making my code more modular. I know I'm learning so much and yet the volume of info can be overwhelming! Going to trust the process and hope I'll be ready to apply for jobs in 2023🤞🚀

Trying to get going with Linkedin as I know it's the right thing to be doing. It's tricky though as I still need one foot in the physio world for financial reasons, but it's very much a tech profile. I feel like I'm living two separate lives right now. It's exhausting🫤.

I'm up to day 50 of my #100DaysofCode challenge and I've been reading about TDD principles and practicing how to incorporate it by using Jest to create tests for a couple of my projects. Been adding in stubs, mocks, etc. and its been a real eye-opener.

Been a bit bleary-eyed today as I stayed up until the early hours with the #100devs live stream. Yes, its recorded, but it's always good experience the energy in real time which I can't do always. So much great advice from @leonnoel as usual about finding that first tech job.🚀

Been learning more about debugging and I have to say, I wish I had done this sooner. I'm not as nervous about failing my tests now because I feel more confident I can understand the error messages. It's liberating.

So this week could have started better…I spilt tea on my MacBook this morning and I’ve been told I need to keep it switched off for 24-48hrs to see if it can ‘dry out’🤞🤞. Not great for productivity and potentially, my finances😩🤬😭

Days 38-9: Finished making my 'virtual pet' it's all CLI based, but glad I got to practice some OOP concepts. I'd like to enhance it with a GUI at some point. Also had a chance to do some mob-programming with @manchestercodes - nice to share the pain sometimes! #100DaysOfCode

It's been a rainy Sunday here, so it was a good excuse to stay in and catchup with class 30 of #100devs. A nice end to the week were I've spent days 34-37 getting more familiar with TDD using Jest and learning about the four pillars of OOP. #100Daysofcode
