Kathleen Freeman died #onthisday 1959, aged 61, at St Mellons, Cardiff. She was a classicist at Cardiff University and crime writer who mostly published under the name 'Mary Fitt'. Her partner was Dr Liliane Clopet, a GP and also an author. #otd #LGBTplusHM

FEBRUARY is #LGBTHistoryMonth in the UK. Our queer history is full of significant events such as decriminalisation, HIV epidemic, Soho Bomb and Section 28. We use this time to reflect on the history, allowing it to inform our present and combat ongoing prejudices.
