S1E10 Death by GSW inflicted by a guy who looks like Spencer from iCarly but is not Spencer from iCarly (I checked). Scotty in this one... it's a lot... it has not aged well

There's a transition in this one where a witness says something like "he drove her crazy" before flashing back to James pulling in the driveway to she drives me crazy by the fine young canibals. I love painfully literall flashback music, no wonder MadTv picked up on that

Besides the horrifying fake confession this whole episode made me hate the murderer mostly because he was convinced he could be a millionaire by age 25 and by god I am sick of hearing about entrepreneurship, I'm taking a non optional course in it even

When interrogating a Russian imigrant that has seen some shit Scotty sort of lets the man believe he will never see his child again to get a confession... and is then pissed when Lilly and Stillman tell him it was clearly a forced confession that doesn't even match their infos

This episode also features the oldest victim of the series, Crystal. She is shown watching televangelists so if she hadn't been killed there's a change she would have joined a cult or blown her life savings. That scene reminded me of that time my grandma wanted to join IURD

I wonder if this episode was filmed before some of the ones that aired earlier because Scotty isn't in it. Maybe they wanted to save the cool premise for later so they dropped it near the middle of the season.

Everytime I see Lilly wearing turtle necks under her blazer I thank God turtle necks died out as they were my most despised childhood clothing. I refuse to wear scarves until this day because I hated having something hot around my neck all day. I'd rather see skorts comeback

fun fact: in season 6 they actually use livin' on a prayer in an episode about a dock worker like the MadTv sketch did. If it was intentional I love the music guy on this show
