@2HeartCore4U I don’t think that’s a hot take. I think it’s pretty obvious. Most writers don’t have MFAs. Most successful writers don’t have MFAs. Obviously you can learn how to write in different ways. That being said, I have an MLitt in writing and it absolutely did make me a better writer.

@HayleyReeseChow The risk (and I speak from experience) is that an author who feels their book has been unjustly criticised retaliates by giving your book a 1 star review. Even at 3 stars you are taking that risk.
@AlistairGravesX There was a discourse yesterday saying that an author posting about anything less than a 5-star rave review was unprofessional and unsupportive. I can see how people might be on the fence about 3-star reviews, but I 100% consider 4-star reviews to be supportive! 😭
@HayleyReeseChow The issue has been unethical authors review bombing other authors that they see as competition. I'd be more conscientious in making sure your reviews focus on increasing visibility for good books, and save more critical feedback for private communication
@DanHenby Yeah I try very hard not to finish anything I couldn’t recommend, and I definitely don’t review books I don’t finish!

@RdotSpoon I listen to audiobooks while cleaning, or driving. I drive from like Canada to SeaTac often (like once a month). And the only way I can get through that horrible drive is an audiobook. Like so much anger at Seattle drivers, an audiobook helps.
anyway, if you like to consume text in an audio format for whatever reason, it does count as reading. its also a better way to spend your time than being loud and wrong on twitter.
Call me old fashioned but an “audio book” is not reading , it’s being read to or listening…
