SIM hack not only got me financially, but my mobile operator protected the criminal and lied to me about what happened. Do not trust your standard mobile operator, and do not think they will help you. They will go into liability protection mode. We joined EFANI here as well.

Adding a PIN is a "must", but hackers will exploit issues with SIM cards and thieves pay mobile phone store employees to make the swap. Only way to fully protect yourself is to use EFANI.com. If you have money, thieves will pay thousands to bribe employees.

Good luck. One of their store employees swapped me and reset passwords. TMobile refused to give me/police info. They will be nice hoping you go away, only a subpena will get info.

If you want protection, then buy Verizon through EFANI.com. They have their own SIM which is secured from swaps privatizes your usage and comes with insurance to back it up. I was SIM swapped by another operators phone store employee, painful.

I was SIM swapped by a T-Mobile phone store employee myself. The operator protected the employee instead of helping me and refused to give me and the police info. If your in the US, check out EFANI.com which provides SIM security, privatizes usage w/ insurance.
