Driver/shifter visually validate trailer and bay door numbers, and inspect backing conditions. 2. Ensure green light is on and no obstructions. Wait for green light if red. 3. Immediately set up for backing to maintain conditions. 4. Once ready for backing follow safe backing methods. 5. If light changes to red, stop immediately, exit vehicle, and clear conditions before continuing. 6. Check red/green light before contacting trailer and bay door. 7. Secure vehicle and uncouple upon completion. Pulling trailer from unload/load door: 1. Visually validate trailer and bay door numbers, inspect backing conditions. 2. @ChavezJoeUpser Whoa, you guys have lights on your doors? When the light is green, is there anything that prevents someone from entering the trailer?
@ChavezJoeUpser Our method is for drivers/shifters to walk back and check every time. It works great because there’s visual confirmation, but it’s bad in the winter because of ice and snow
