Time to ditch @BioRender? I had no idea they were claiming copyright to the figures we make with it, even after we pay for use of the service.

@wc_ratcliff @BioRender What a lovely insult to the community. Reasons upon reasons why I support BioIcons forever. bioicons.com
@ATinyGreenCell @wc_ratcliff @BioRender Is Biolcons free? Also is it really a better alternative than Biorender?
@ozlem_dilek1 @wc_ratcliff @BioRender Free, and no crappy licensing issues currently revealed in their ToS. People just need to contribute to the repository and it will be great.
@ATinyGreenCell @ozlem_dilek1 @wc_ratcliff @BioRender Thanks! How do you compose your figures? InkScape? I am looking for a new tool for @PuckerLab, because I just cancellled my bioRender subscription
@boas_pucker @ATinyGreenCell @ozlem_dilek1 @wc_ratcliff @BioRender @PuckerLab I use Inkscape. Also use PowerPoint by setting the dimensions to A4 paper size. In R I use patchwork package to assemble panels. These are my options. I think it’s effective.
